I havn't been able to find much information about the effectiveness of HMPs (hosted marketing pages). It seems like they give you "more bang for your buck" compared to basic text link ads. Thoughts? Suggestions? Thanks for your help!
It kind of depends. I like HMP's, especially for new sites. Its a great way to get rankings and trickle the leads to the new clients site. And you usually do get more bang for you buck, considering you're getting a link on a highly optimized page, with content that is relevant to your topic. The only problem is that HMPs are usually expensive and most people can't afford to get a few HMPs for their sites. Because they are such great links, they cost a pretty penny sometimes. Having said that, I still wouldn't discount having just a straight link coming off the homepage or interior page. One constant within the world of linking is that you need to do it all. Every type of strategy out there for building links...you need to do it. You want a natural look to your link building efforts.
