    Hey,

I was just wondering, do you wish that Text-Link-Ads provided the actual URLs of the websites in their database so that you could go and personally check/analyze the site?

    Thanks,

They should do, but they won't because the advertisers would negotiate directly with the site owners and get a much better deal!

That may be have a point; it would defeat the purpose of the "middleman".

That is the problem. But I think that they could provide more details about the website.

adbrite provides all the info, but they arent exactly doing text-link-ads either.

The thumb nail pic sometimes shows the domain name lol. As a matter of fact, you can find their URLs in many cases.

A URL would help advertisers in making buying decision. However, you can search for the listings Title & Description to find its URL.

That is a point but as the others have already said, it's pretty much impossible to stop all listings from being found as some use their URL in their title, or have unique names etc...

I am asking about this as I'm working on a new site, to try and compete with TLA and I was wondering if they site should list the URL of the listings.

Oh btw the payout is going to be 70%, which is 20% more than TLA. :D

That said they have a solid reputation and so I'll have to work very hard to compete at all...

As a TLA publisher I don't really care. I just wish they'd start selling more links (things seem very slow at the moment!)

I totally agree - I've been with them for 4 months, have published 3 sites and they've only managed to sell 2 links for me...

The site we're creating values links cheaper than TLA, but we have the mentality that we'll be able to sell more links if they are cheaper and make up for the difference in price by selling more of them.

    E.G.

    Selling 1 link for $25 = Total of $25
    Selling 3 links for $15 = Total of $45

    :)
