I know someone began this once but is it possible to use "dot tk" extensions in the "Author Resources" box on EZineArticles?

Buy a proper .com for $8

    No one takes .tk seriously.

^^ Why waste $8 on a .com - hell, I'd buy a .info before all that. But I figured since seeing how EZine Articles say only TLD (top-level domains, as in "yourtitlehere.tk" or "youtitlehere.info") were allowed in the resource box. Technically, dot tk IS a top-level domain.

Because .com gives users some confidence your site isn't total crap.

If you have 1000+ posts on this forum and think $8 for a .com is a "waste" - you need to do more reading and less posting.

Google applies some spam filters on .info domains and it's considered a spammy extension, because it's very cheap and broadly used for spamming, so I wouldn't recommend using a .info domain for an affiliate site.

Haven't tried it, but I think .TK would be just fine.

I could get a .com domain, but like I said, problem is that even at $8.00 - do you know how much you'd spend to promote around 10 DIFFERENT affiliate products. Your looking at $80.00 - might not be much but your not guaranteed to make any sales or anything. I'll stick with a more "simple" domain then buying a DOT COM. Plus, I think I've read enough to make $2k a month.

You can make $2,000 a month but yet you don't want to pay $80 a year for domains? $80 a year is really nothing considering some people spend more than $80 a month on coffee alone.

^^ I could spend $80 a year but for a simple landing page, I doubt I'll do all that. Maybe its just me but "dot com" to me, unless being put toward a serious business (which a landing page isn't even considered) is worthless.

Just how I look at it...
