I have a .tk domain name (free domain from dot.tk) and I'd like to remove all the banners of it. This can be done in the "Banner settings" section. You have to call to an audio-text number that costs ~$3 per minute (in my country, Slovakia). During the call you shall be told the special access code to remove the banners from your domain. I wonder if you guys don't know if they will tell me the code in the first minute of the call? You know, these audio-text phone calls... Have anyone of you called there? I know, I could rather buy a .com, but I really don't need a TLD domain for this site and I'm fine with a free domain. I just would like to remove all the ads and then I could have that domain for e.g. 10 years for just $3.
Yeah, that's if you choose to register a paid domain and these are without the banners. However, I just wonder if anyone has already called to the number where they tell you the access code to remove the banners?
yes there are a lot of hacks to remove those banners illegally if you really want to go for a official banner removal then i would say that you will have to make that phone call. no other option. otherwise in fact, if the number is located in US, then you can ask someone here at DP to do it for u. i am sure someone would be willing to do that
Yes, I would prefer to do it legally. I wouldn't like to loose my domain. They have specific numbers for each country. The one for Slovakia is located in Slovakia. I just wonder if anyone of you has called there and if they tell you the code within the first minute of the call? If they don't, then it's not worth calling there and I would rather register a .com.
I don't many companies related with this kind of services to tell you right from the start what you want
