I run a wordpress 1.5 blog and the blog automatically titles the home page and successive content pages as follows: say your blog is called SPORTS CARS so the title on the home page would be: SPORTS CARS but then on a content page, the title would be: SPORTS CARS >> How to repair your sports car so as you can see the main home page title is always the first words in the title on every page.. so my question is for each new page that is created, should you also always include the main home page title? or ONLY the title of the individual posting (ie. How to repair your sports car) I wonder if having SPORTS CARS as the title and beginning portion of title on content pages is a benefit keyword wise to you over long term, or a disadvantage... thoughts?
I would personally mostly prefer to go for the version without "sports cars" part for individual posts, especially in this situation (ie. with sports cars as the title of the blog).
Agree with articlefactory, the title should be tightly relevant to the blog post. So, sitename on each title is a bad idea. In fact, the post title as the page title also may not always be great, especially if you are using many filler words in the post title. But, I do not know how you would configure all of this. Ajeet
IMO, the blog name should not be in the page Titles. Here is a link to the code that I use for Titles in my WordPress blogs.
