    Hey,

I'm sorry if this is a topic that comes up often, but I have to ask, this is driving me mad. What experience have you guys had with Title/URL colors..

Same color for URL and title, or same URL color as the ad text to make the title stand out more? Have tested and tested, and when I think I've found the perfect formula, suddenly CTR drops again.. I wan't to settle this once and for all and then stick to it, but first I thought I'd ask your opinion. There has to be tons of experience on this subject here.

Is the joel comm mantra of blue title, black text and light grey URL the best way to go?? Your views would be highly appreciated!

You need to try it out. However, according to the research, the blue title do have highest click rate compare to other colour, and black text and ligh grey URL is good enough.

On my side, blue-colored titles & links work best but blue-colored titles & black-colored links (similar with texts) work great too.

Stick with blue colors since blue links are commonly known as links by internet users.

I guess the answer depends on your page layout, its color scheme and font....

It sounds strange to mention that url and title colors can have great affect on the CTR. I've never experienced or notice any of that affecting my own site. The most common contributor to CTR is more towards ad placement so I wouldn't worry much about it if I were you.

CTR increased for my sites when I blended the ads according to my sites color scheme..

I can't try those yet because I don't have much traffic. I need to wait for a while and get a few sites into the high traffic zones before I can get accurate results for that.

I learned that many people reported success with the blue title, black text and light grey URL but if you haven't achieved success with it, you can try blending the ads with the contents or contrast them depending on your niche.
