Hello, We all know Title tags hold weight in Google, but I was wondering what everyone's view on how long title tags should be? A well respected peer on here feels they can be as long as you want, but I was wondering what other people thought and what their ecperiences were of it? Best regards, Mischa
From my exp. i strongly believe in proper title tag. Place your targeted keyword in it, make sure length of the tag should be 65 characters, However you may have title tag with max, 80 chars, Regards,
I've also read varying comments but the one i'm using is make it look natural and include your key words.
I'm not sure how reliable this tool is but I often use this to double check the meta tags etc: http://www.seocentro.com/tools/search-engines/metatag-analyzer.html If anyone has a better tool or views on this one, don't be afraid to shout out.
Without any exception, Title tag is the first and the most important thing when you starts on-site optimization.
This is a good tool, and it says for a title to be 'robot friendly' it should be no longer than 80 - does anyone know why it would not be robot friendly past this amount - i realise it isn't human friendly, but why not human friendly? Thanks for your input!
Likely 80 characters is the max for a bot because their resources are limited and they might be only set to pay attention to that number. From a keyword point of view, you don't want too many characters because the value of the title tag will become too diluted.
