    Is there somewhere in word press where i can change the title from showing up in posts as h2 tags to h1 tags?
    Thanks.

    Download and Edit the styles.txt and re-upload it back to your website

    styles.txt ???? What that heck is that?

    Anyhow, I would go to your theme files and edit the single.php template.

    Yeah but you guys aren't really telling them what to edit?!?

    I don't know the answer, but If I did I would at least elaborate a little bit.

    Hi!
    You will find the answer to your question here og here.

    This is also a problem in other systems like Joomla.
    Perhaps the developers should have a SEO course?

    Anyway - by adding the correct tags like H1 will provide search engines like Google with a better view of the content and should therefore be a must!

    you need to edit index.php (which is the home page) in your theme folder and single.php (single post). make changes as you wish. however, take necessary backup before you proceed.

    These files will be in

    Your_Root_folder\wp-content\themes\your_theme_folder\

    The edit is that he wants to change an H2 to an H1. We were just telling him where he could find it the Html code to change.

    Open up the index.php for the theme you are using.

    Find
    <div class="contenttitle">

    <h1><a href="<?php the_permalink() ?>" rel="bookmark"><?php the_title(); ?></a></h1>

    <p>Filed Under <?php the_category(', ') ?></p>

    </div>

    And change the <h1> and </h1> to what ever you need.
    I am not 100% sure so allways make a backup.
