Title Tag - Waste of Time? I think so....

Just type anything into Google & you will find that most of the sites have that keyword in the title tag.

Title tags are very important but not quite as important as Anchor text, this is why a site without the keywords in the title tag can still rank highly for that keyword (they use that keyword in the anchor text)

 

Meh... Old school SEO from where I'm sitting.

Looking at the top ten, I see no authority sites, some really crappy sites, and a couple of good ones.

I see a plethora of sites beyond that where the keywords are in the title.

All I'm saying is, there is a heck of a lot more involved in the ranking, and frankly I believe that the Title isn't NEARLY as important as these so-called guru's claim.

Doesn't mean it isn't worth anything at all..... I just don't think it should be #1 priority, given what I've seen in the serps on MANY markets.
