As i know Title Tag characters should be Limited to 60-80. I think after the 80 characters google bots doesn't read that characters. But Plz check this site Ulagalla Resorts. This site Title has 776 characters. When you search "Vessagiriya Ruins and Caves". You Can see google bots read that keyword and display this page in to the first SERP page.

    Guys any ideas?

The title tag should be as short and as focused as possible. the shorter and more focused title will help you rank higher in SERP's. Ranking first for "Vessagiriya Ruins and Caves" is not a big gain since there are less than 500 results for this search.

if you want to rank high for "Sri Lanka Hotels", you should create a page focused in this subject with a focused title and promote this specific page for related terms.

Your title is way too long, way unfocused and more over, has repeating keywords which has no contribution from the SEO perspective; vice versa.

i have marked just a few of those below:

Ulagalla Resort|Boutique Hotels Sri Lanka|Luxury Hotels Sri Lanka|Luxury Resorts Sri Lanka|Boutique Resorts Sri Lanka|Luxury Resorts Anuradhapura|Anuradhapura Hotels|Exclusive Resorts Sri Lanka|Luxury Accommodation Sri Lanka|Privacy Resorts Sri Lanka Sri Lanka Chalets|Eco Tourism Sri Lanka|Eco Friendly Resorts Sri Lanka|Sri Lanka Boutique Hotel|Nature Resorts Sri Lanka| Agrotourism Resorts Sri Lanka|Cultural Triangle Hotels|World Heritage Sites Archaeological Sites|Private Plunge Pool Resorts |Historic Architectural Resorts|Heritage Hotels| Lovamahapaya|Sri Maha Bodhi|Thuparamaya|Mahasen's Palace|Ratnaprasada|Kuttam Pokuna|Mihintale|Jetavanarama Dagoba|Ruvanveliseya Dagoba|Samadhi Buddha Statue|Isurumuniya Rock Temple|Vessagiriya Ruins and Caves| Anuradhapura Museum

    Hope this helps

That may be because it is NOT only the title tag that bring a page in SERPs but there are so many other factors too like backlinks etc.
e.g. type "click here" in Google and you will see the first result of Adobe.com even there is no word like "Click here" in their title tag.

Title tag is not the only SEO technique why a site ranks well. You can have many characters, but Google will only take the first 60 and ignore the rest but it won't penalize your site for that. His site rank well probably with a lot quality backlinks and other factors.

It is likely that Google reads the entire title tag. But it will only display about 65 characters in the search results.

Its better that title tag to be short but as i know, Google index all characters on titles and effect all title on ranking results.

Yes, Title tag has a limit of characters. But Google reads entire title tag of the web page.
