    Hey DPers,

I know you guys are great in SEO. I want to ask a simple questions about TITLE tag.

If Google search for : hello baby girl

Title Tag 1: Hello baby girl I love you

Title Tag 2: Hello baby I love you girl

Is there are different between two title tags in terms of ranking? Will Title 1 outrank title 2?

    Please advice ;)

yes the first will outrank the second but you need to know the context of the search too

I agree 1 will outrank 2 for that search phrase as 2 should outrank 1 for "I love you girl".

If your question is in context to the above example then I would agree to everyone here, that is Title 1 will definitely outrank 2. That's simply because of the sentence framing there.

Remember, the text included in the title tag is also the text that will appear in the SERPs (search engine results pages) as the linked title on which users will click to access your page. And looking at this Title 1 is more good, clear and attractive for users to click at it.

Thanks everyone for effort to answer my question. There is another title tag like:

Title Tag 1: Hello baby girl I love you
Title Tag 2: Hello baby I love you girl
Title Tag 3: Hello baby girl I love you baby

The double words "baby" for Title Tag 3 will outrank tag 1 due to repeat in words?

Repeating keywords will ruin its value in google's eye.

I definitely agree with what everyone is saying, keyword 1 will outrank keyword 2...
Hmm, just wan to share something, in making the title of a site, I have read that you should do "Keyword" "Category" - "website name" method?, it's from SEOMoz...

I think Hello baby I love you girl its good bcz in 1 title 3,4 keywords we use in one title like
    Title
Hello baby I love you girl
    Keywords
    Hello baby
    Hello baby I love you
    I love you girl
    baby I love you
    its good for ranking

Hmmm I disagree. I manage a PR7 site w/ thousands of pages known by 85+% of US households and I NEVER include website name in my <title> element with a couple exceptions... I do include it on the About Us, Contact Us and Press Releases page <title>s. But other than company info related pages like those, I NEVER include website.

Adding website name to your content pages and home page <title> elements does nothing good for the page ranking. It actually hurts your ability for the page to rank by diluting the keyword density within the <title>.

    If I have a blog called joesblog.com and I write a post about Car Maintenance then <title>Car Maintenance</title> is a much better <title> than <title>Car Maintenance - Joesblog.com</title>.

Include keywords and keyword phrases in your <title> that best describe the content of the page AND that you are targeting as search phrases. Do you really think people will be looking for you Car Maintenance related pages by searching for "car maintenance joesblog"? Even if they did, they would easily find it WITHOUT it in the <title> because of the match on domain name + <title>.

I don't waste the real estate in my <title> element on domain name.

Yes first one will rank higher because its more relevant to the search term than the other. The significance of the Title Tag is evident as all search engines
use the Title Tag to gather information about your site.

Absolutely. I just read a post about important of TITLE tag.

if the website is www.seo.com, then title = " SEO | Search Engine Optimization " would be the best. What do you think guys?
