Title tag problem

    I have a joomla website where title is showing twice .

    I have mentioned my website title in global config but the problem is still there ..

    example :

    if my website title is

    "Joomla forum "

    then its showing like

    "Joomla forum - Joomla forum"

    How can i solve this problem.

    You using any SEF module? If not grab a new Joomla Install file and upload the .htaccess from the archive u downloaded to ur server. Such things happen when .htaccess is messed up.

    Yes i am using a sef module and ..to let you know all pages are indexed in google so i cant change or remove that sef module .So if you have any solution in this case that willl be help full.
    I think you can help me on this.

    There is almost 900 pages in my website so i can't think of re indexing ..

    HI, I had this problem and I solved it by going into the Main Menu if this is where you are having trouble and under parameters (System) tick Show Page Title NO and I do not get double Titles on my pages

    anohter way is to find out where the title tag for the forum is generated and remove part of it. But you'll need some php knowlege to do this
