i keep seeing this in the title tag of high ranking sites on google for competitive keywords <b style="color:black;background-color:#99ff99">Hosting</b> - VPS <b style="color:black;background-color:#99ff99">Hosting</b> an Thoughts? just thought it was interesting.
Have seen your example, (cheap web hosting)... But I couldn't find any css styles in the title tag !!!?
Its ranked 5 but i search in the Google now dont find in the first 3 pages. Also I check the source of the site, found some another title
I can't see any advantage in putting CSS in title tag - the title tag is one of hte best SEO tools there is. Surely this is just sloppy programming????
If you are talking about this one: accuwebhosting then there is no such a thing even in the source code dude !!?
That is just someone styling the way they present their title tags, the CSS styling is of no help style="color:black;background-color:#99ff99" Code (markup): but the bold definately helps as it highlights the keywords giving them importance.
It looks like the websites are using the tags to hide keywords from the eyes of the visitors, but making sure the extra content is there for the search engines... (Content Cloaking). All the best, ~ Mike
