Does it matter at all the order that tag inside the <head> tags are in??

Google places so much importance on <title> tags, so is their any benefit to having you title tag come first. Or does it matter at all? As long as you have a title tag inside your head tags, whether is is the first one or last one???

I've been told to always put the title first, but I'm not convinced it really matters.

I feel the same way, It probably does not matter. But I like to place it first too.

    Had to ask.

Not sure myself on this one. Try looking at what your competition has done with their site, if they put the Title first, you should try it this way also.

I see it all over the place. Top on some sites, middle on others, and bottom on others.

I recently submitt my site for google index. Unfortunately I put the Title at the bottom of head tag. When I did search on google for my site. I found that link discription shows details from my webpage and not from the title.

Now I placed it on top and waiting for Google to reindex.

I saw most websites, even some major websites will put the these tags in the <head> part, and list them in description, keyword and then title order. But my own experience the order doesn't help you too much. A webmaster shall spend his effor in more important factors like content, backlinks, etc.

Page title is an important factor but yes, I agree order does not matter as long as they are within the <head> and </head> tags.
