I have a question on how titles should be set for optimizing.

If the sites title is "Green Eggs and Ham" and thus the home page is that.

When you go to a sub-page should the title be:

    1) "I Love Spam - Green Eggs and Ham"
    or
    2) "Green Eggs and Ham - I Love Spam"

I am unclear which is best.

The reason I ask is the title can often get truncated in google if its appended instead of prepending it.

    Thoughts? Any data on this?

Can you explain why? Any type of evidence of this? Even empirical?

Personally I prefer to go route 1) because (debate time) it is the more prominant term PLUS as a user it helps in the browser history bar PLUS when writing pages it's easier in dreamweaver :) Just MyHO
