Title Perma Link Meta For WP Blog - What Best Way? my blog is now perma link defined to show the title in the ses as the name of post only .... I disabled the function that ads the title of blog to the post title.... would this be in the favor of good SEO meaning what better to show in the G search.... both or one or will it matter at all ...... theis blog KauaiMassage.com/blog
On my blog the name of the post page is generally the title of the post (although I sometimes customize the name of the page if the title is long or has a lot of unimportant words in it): http://www.example.com/this-is-the-title-of-the-post. I don't like having category names in my URLs to particular posts since posts may be in multiple categories and might move the post from category to category over time or I might rename a category. I don't want to deal w/ redirecting them if I change the category names or move them to another category. I also don't like having archive dates in the URLs of my posts like: http://www.example.com/2009/08/this-is-the-name-of-my-post Having the dates in the URL add no relevant keywords to the URL so I prefer the simple http://www.example.com/this-is-the-name-of-my-post. The <title> element of my posts are always hand custom <titles>. As far as the links on my site pointing to the posts, I use the title of the post as the permalink link text. I also try to add other links to the post using different link text like a custom link text at the end of the excerpt on the home page and category/archive pages.
thanks for the inclusion.... as with perma links like this /%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%/ it shows dates and all that I herd in seo videos that was a better way plus it gets more traffic in seo purposes...... the main topic was Title relevancy in th serps... when you post title shows in Google yahoo all that ..... mean in the tile of post.... and not title of blog added ....... for seo im sure everyone uses their own ... but im noticing that ......... if you break the perma link sturctire now all the 301 redirects will be lost..... so the delema is like this this if I post like my rss feed above top by my dp forum top name...... example here is a blog tiitle >>Massage Rates In Kauai Hawaii Are They Affordable<<< now only this willl show......... some bloggers have title attacthed to post in the seo pack like this >>Massage Rates In Kauai Hawaii Are They Affordable | KauaiMassage Blog<<<< so my dilema here is whats best.............. for total seo pourposes lol
