I am wondering if this is really useful to add a title for each link on a website so that a text appear while doing a roll over. I tend more to think that alt tag for pictures are worthwhile than the title attributes for links. eheh so is it useful ?
Also it will be more beneficial for your users, and a chance to explain what you were thinking when you put the image in. Definately worth using to give that little bit of extra SEO and information to your user. Brad
yeah so the anchor text link is far way important than the title attribute?: <a href="yourdomain.com" title="It's my domain">My Domain</a>
That's what i was thinking, from an accesibility point of view it's good to have the title attribute so that the users know what they are clicking at, sometimes the anchor text doesn't tell much for visitors
I wouldn't bother with title attribute from an seo perspective, but it may be of value if you find it improves usability for your visitors. Anchor text (or the equivalent alt text for linked images) is where the seo value is. Try this: Page 1 on site A uses the keyword in the meta title, and the anchor text as it links to: Page 2 on site B that also features the keyword in the meta title. Getting links with the right anchor text from other sites is not so hard these days, but the best value comes from the page 1 site A example above where the keyword is used in the meta title also. That's the 'title' you should have your sights set on.
so you mean that way: Page A: Title tag: Drink Oil To Tan Page B: Title tag: Oil Is Good For You So the perfect anchor text link from A to B would be "Oil is Good For You" right? Sorry if i dont understand..
