Is anyone having any luck with Holiday Gift ads with Chitika? I've just started implementing them myself, and will monitor. Lots of sports team ornaments and the like to choose from, as I'm finding. Of course- they aren't going to bring much for CTC, I suppose. ________________________________ Digital Age
Maybe I meant CPC- cost per click? There's so many abbreviations with all these new ad programs, it's hard to keep track.
I agree. You can get lost when checking your stats with all the lingo. The only thing that matters in the end is the month end amount in your pocket.
I've just started putting the big "C" keyword all over my tech blog in the vain hope It will get me some traffic. Maybe it will, maybe not but there's no harm in trying. I have noticed some of the clicks have been paying more than usual so perhaps they were converted into buyers for the advertisers? Gives you a kind of warm feeling inside eh?
Thanks for the concern techlh, but my new tech blog (The Faster Geek) is only 12 days old. Not old enough for decent SERPs etc.. I'm hoping to bring the traffic up a bit more for Christmas time though. No sense in letting the actual sellers have all the fun. Us publishers need to get a bit of the action eh?
Yeah I was thinking about a Chitika focused holiday gift guide as well. Seems like a good idea, but I imagine the competition is going to be pretty stiff. Couldn't hurt to try I suppose. I can just rework it and call it the "coolest stuff" guide after the holidays I guess.
