All of our sites down, i have reported this problem to support center Sun, Sep 6, 2009 at 8:07 PM [Ticket ID: 570612] (2 days ago ) and yesterday via DP pm . i received response "We are working on it", but from yesterday night all of my sites down, screenshots submitted again via support center, we are losing sales simply due to the server problem.can you please Check this issue ? The time now is 3:03 am. Almost 12+ hours our entire sites down,and web mails not working ,Placed another ticket and i tried your phone 1-727-279-2771 no response! really dissapointed with this hosting support & uptime. can you please tell me whats going on?
I would suggest a semi-dedicated servers and not a vps. Checkout the difference between Semi-dedicated and VPS

Client area, Forum,blog,Directory,support center,webmails everything down! unable to access WHM, Cpanel,FTP as well. our forum have almost 2500+ members. This is The message when we tried our sites "Sorry for the inconvenience! The filesystem mounted at / on this server is running out of disk space. cPanel operations have been temporarily suspended to prevent something bad from happening. Please ask your system admin to remove any files not in use on that partition." and received tons of emails. emails says our System Disc full "Drive Critical: /dev/simfs (/) is 100% full". We are lossing sales every minutes, this server techs really not understand their clients needs and supports, when we contact live chat or MSN support, we are ignored. You guys charged 15$ per month provided Trial Cpanel/WHM.. my VPS comming with Cpanel/WHM addon order, ( paid you cpanel fee 15$ As well) When i check my cpanel licence today, it's expired "15-DAY-TEST Test Licenses active on: 2009-08-15 02:33:44, group: webbynoc solutions cPanel/WHM expired/deactivated by HIVELOCITY on 2009-08-15 02:48:12. I'm sorry to hear about the misfortune you had with you hosting provider. I'm sure they have some reason of what happened. No response so far, if i contact via MSN.. same words "we are working on it", "we will solve this problem tomorrow"waiting for hivilocity billings,blah,blah.. Actually i received total 437$ Paypal dispute due to the site down problem.
Man, I do not envy your situation. Did you make daily backups yourself ? Assuming you do not work over the weekend, and accounting for timezones (in you post date) it looks like you should at least have a backup from last Friday/Saturday/Sunday/Monday. If so, cancel your account by MSN, email, PM, or whatever it takes to reach them. And instead of waiting for them to respond and get their act together, I suggest you go to servint as suggested earlier by someone else earlier in this thread. These guys can move VPS images from box to box in less than 5 minutes. They do nightly backups to other hardware than the server with your VPS. You can also do your own backups at any time. Over at WHT, there are threads full off positive reviews. If your VPS requirements increase, you just upgrade, and they move your existing VPS to another server where the new type of VPS accounts are hosted, in less than 5 minutes. With a nice screen informing your visitors. Why take a risk with hosting if (a large part of) your income depends on this site ? I bet it already cost you more than you thought you were saving. Match the importance of your site with the hosting requirements. Apologies for the harsh words. I only left servint VPS because they do not allow proxy hosting on VPS boxes. At the time they wanted me to upgrade to a dedicated box. But the importance of the proxy hosting was not enough to justify that cost.
No,but I have enabled Weekly Backup from WHM,finally one of Server Admin Checked this issue, this is 100% overselling VPS host from hivelocity. We paid 70GB Diskspace but this guys provided only 4 GB discspace here is the proof ( our files capacity only 467.14MB) Today morning this guy talked with me , he did'nt resolve our problem still stating same word, "we are working on it", "we are waiting for hiviolcity ticket" "I can set you up with a dedicated server " etc,etc.. same word ....! and suddenly dissapeared from MSN. Finally This guy said, " You are not our only customer ,We have 10 vps orders just from todya I have to go do a lot of paperwork and process orders " but I recievd total 6 Disputes past 48 hours Approx (2 Disputes Escalated). if this problem continue surely i will receive little more disputes and bad reputation. still my sites down, i don't have time to wait weeks or months, i am going to request refund now, will post status soon!
No, of course you shouldn't post the whole story here. Like I said it's better to get your site up and running again at a reliable hosting comapany's server. Don't wait for something that's still far off. Hope you get everything up and running again.
