Tips to protect your Adsense Account from being Banned

    Hello Everyone,

Recently, we have heard in this forum that many of our members got banned from Adsense.

Therefore, I would like those people who uses Adsense, to share their ways of avoiding being banned and any tips that will help us to have a long term and continuous Adsense account.

It hurts a lot when an account being banned. Hopefully these thread can help people to better protect their Adsense account.

My tip is not to tell, family, friends of your earnings because when the matter is money, no one cares who you are. :)

    Thanks!

Ask about something here before you do it, or study the TOS carefully.

Never make a reference to them.

"If you're going to call someone stupid, do it when there is no site containing AdSense linked to in your signature."

"If you have to ask "Can I" or "Should I" and the phrase "Images" is involved in the same sentence -- walk away."

Yes, I agree too, I think that's one of the main reason people get banned. :(

NEVER tell your family, friends, borthers, sisters , and/or your dogs about your Adsense websites... :D

they WILL go to check it... and guess what?

They WILL click on ads ... and guess what?

    You WILL get Banned

It's true. Although this may seem like common sense, there are many people who create a post whining about being banned for unfair reasons, only to later admit that they are guilty of clicking their own ads.

Even if you are the only one who use the pc, you can fall into your own trap if you put the ads very near to an important button or link from your site.

If you have a site where you are logged in anyway, you can make a check for that cookie or session and not display the ads for you then. That way it wouldn't be dependent on the IP.

And if push comes to shove and you do click on an ad, just send them a mail. It happened to me before, I explained it and there was no problem because of this.

itdevil: You'll need == there in the if clause.

The #1 tip I can offer to avoid being banned is do not post a link to your site in your siggy. No offense to anyone here who actively posts but we don't know who the lurkers are know what I mean? ;)

    1. Don't ever reveal URLs or names of your AS sites on any online forums.

    2. Don't tell friends or family about any of your AS sites.

    3. Keep a close eye on your stats for abnormalities and report to G if you see any.

    4. No matter what you're doing (site design, marketing, promotion, customer communications), always keep the TOS in mind.

    5. If you have an AS issue you're not sure about, don't ask in forums, go straight to the horse's mouth and ask Google.

[I didn't list "don't click on your own ads" because, well, that's just so obvious, it doesn't need to be listed.]

Never ever click on your ads, follow TOS and KEEP IN TOUCH with adsense guys. This way you prove that you have nothing to hide with them.

Never ever tell anybody you own sites with adsense. They are bound to "help you" by clicking your ads and eventually get you banned.

Always track your visitors IP. Use statcounter or something similar. If you find something abnormal report to google ASAP.

Track your ads using this: http://www.monetizers.com/adsense-tracking-script.php

And report to google asap if you find something abnormal. They will then deduct the fake clicks' amount and pay the remainder.
    Hope this helps.

Is anybody here using adsense tracking script? I have read about it but I was always lazy to install it.
Pray, I don't have to pay too dearly for my lazyness! LOL
