Why would someone listen to you unless you have a word with them? Remember the old saying, “you scratch my back, I’ll scratch yours”? Yes! People will give you attention if you will also show interest in them. But I don’t mean here that tagging is the way to resolve this. Analyze yourself. If someone tags you in a note, you are more likely to check it out before anything else but reading the title of the note if sounds boring to you, you would probably navigate off from that page.

The point is to have an appealing title of your note. It’s all about a good headline to grab your readers and keep them engaged and it’s about your friends as well. Don’t forget that your friends are a valuable source of spreading your note by sharing it with their friends. Choose headlines that make your friends feel special. Topics which showcase only about yourself would not be of much interest for others unless they have some interest in you. Grab the reader with topics which depict their interest.

The rest of the body of the note is equally important. Don’t give a lecture, discuss and share. Once your friends are deeply indulged and have established a deep connection with your note, they would tag and share it with their friends and so your note will definitely spread virally. One of the Facebook notes that tends to have such a feature and received a great response was “Think of 21 of your friends and write them down. Then answer the questions pertaining to the 21 names. When you're finished, tag all 21 people in the list so the cycle can continue.”

First, randomly write names of 21 of your friends. There is no hard n fast rule of 21 friends only. You can write more than 21 also. Then write as many questions as you like for each of the 21 friends below the list. Questions should be personal and should refer your friend with the number in the list you created. For example:

Question 1: What is the best thing about 16?

Question 2: What was your first impression about 3?

Question 3: Do you think 12 is cute?

Questions like above which show your feelings and thoughts about your friends, involves them completely into your note.

After writing such type of interesting questions and then answering them, tag all of the 21 friends. When your friends read your note, they will tag their 21 friends while answering the same questions about their friends. The result is your note being shared by millions of users but attributed to you.

Agreed. A catchy title never fails to work. And interaction always works with SNS. There must be something in the note about themselves so they would be interested enough to respond and create their own, and there must be something about their friends so that they would take notice.
