Make sure your story have a techno or a business twist (There is a World & Business category), there is also an Entertainment category. But if your story is farfetched don't count on it doing very well.

Very good advice. Make it something of common interest and present it a little different.

Nono. Digg and those social networking sites will not just give you the visitors, it gives you the exposure with a lot of potential for backlinks.

And, search engine especially Google loves those site that have many incoming links from the social networking sites, because many ppl are talking about them.

I have a client whom got one of the article dugg, have the typical traffic burst, and around 11 new backlinks from blog post talking about the article. Just 11. But here's the surprise, he told me his site jumped from the 3rd page, to the first page (no.5) in Google for one of the his main keywords SERPS.

Tips to get your story dugg?

    1. A few great tips from http://copyblogger.com
    2. More great tips from this article of performancing
    3. Or, hire a professional like me :D

I don't know much about Digg. Looking at this guys articles, there are a bunch from a lot of sites, including the NY Times. And he didn't write them, jsut submitted them. Whats up with that? I thought Digg was about writing original content for your site. He's jsut sumbitting other people's articles? Whats the point of that?

What we've been able to do with clients is to create informative articles on the various allowable topics.
The kicker though to getting others to "digg" it is to come at them from an unexpected angle such as humor.

It never fails though... all of our articles sent to Digg not only get dugg well... they also end up on the fark board providing massive traffic spikes which our clients of course capitalize upon.

Is this a great life or what ;-)
