Hi Everyone, I just wanted to see if anyone had any handy/strong tips for how to make sure that a solid SEO strategy fits in with the larger aims of a marketing plan. I was wondering if many general marketers think about this or not? I have done a lot of work with people on SEO and it seems very few see SEO as part of their broader marketing strategy. Has anyone else seen this? If so, what arguments have you used to help them get it all in line and look at things more holistically? I'm not trying to say that SEO = SEM = Online = Offline marketing, but it seems fair enough to assume these all fit under the same larger umbrella called marketing!
I would think anchor text which some claim effect page rank would be valuble in any marketing plan so yes off page SEO and onpage with internal linking could be huge for making your site visible in the SE's and would effect your traffic and conversions.
Hi reapr, I appreciate that anchor text can impact pagerank, but I'm not sure I see how that fits in with a larger and more general marketing plan... could you please explain a bit?
