If the site is a forums don't expect to make much from contextual advertising. I can see your traffic is growing steadily so you might make a few bucks per month off adsense.

Forget about money for now. Just keep building the forum. When you get 500-1000 visitors a day then consider monetizing it.

Forums are funny things. While success with Adsense is all about traffic, forums are frequented by regular visitors that are either (a) adblind and not going to click ever or (b) excitable types that just love your forum and go on a clickfest to support you (not good). Either way forums have got to give the lowest return of any page type. Having said that, a website with a community attached gets regular back links from members so never say never, just don't expect to retire on any income

    Cheers

While I've never run a forum, from what I have read mostly on here earnings are rather low due to the factors already mentioned in above posts. Also it would depend on many things such as your ad placement, CTR (click through ratio) and the type of market your forum is in. Different sites will get different earnings per click.

Just taking a wild guess here.... if you were to receive 1000 UNIQUES daily on a forum you should be very happy with $5-$10 a day IMO.

Try adding adsense like digitalpoint does (after each post).

    Also try different add blending.

Take it a step by step you will get there

    Peace,

Forums are a funny thing. As many people suggest they are difficult to get results from with Adsense or any of the networks. Especially this year, with the massive influx of el-cheapo adwords advertisers that have saturated alot fo the niches. But it's not impossible to get good results.

The first step is to change your expectations. If you expect something in the neighborhood of 3% to 5% then your probably going to be very disappointed. I submit that performance is relative to the medium in which ads are being served and anything over .5% is excellent for a forum.

Ad placement is key, but so is an influx of new traffic, so there has to be something to attract new visitors. With my sites I'm lucky enough the very nature of the members posts themselves attract new members, but I can see other sites where the discussion is more relative to the individuals participating and not really something a "surfer" might be interested in.

Looking at your stats, what I'd do is place a 728x90 leaderboard somewhere near the top of the page. On a vbulletin site I'd put it right before the forum display or right above the navblock. Then see what happens. Forums require patience and/or a good source of traffic. Oh and if your new to a subject, then you also have to consider your competition. If you can't provide something they don't then odds are, the performance of your adsense will be more related to the overall performance of the forum itself.

    Don't expect much with forums.
Forums tend to bring repeating visitors,
and they tend to easily suffer ads blindness.
From my experiences, forum doesn't bring high CTR.
