I have a squidoo lens and I am wondering on where should I put my keywords. And how much per lens/page?
To start with lets look at writing for a subject you are unfamiliar with. The key to this is to start out by getting a feel for the subject.Quite simply, read a lot.more you can read the greater your level of understanding will be about the subject that you are focusing on.
Depending on the length of the article you write you can use 6-10 keywords. Put keywords on the Title, Header tags.
I am using squidoo lens last few months. I tried my best to put keywords in squidoo lens but i am unable to do so. If some one find then tell me.
Ok, I read your tips, but where exactly are the keywords should be placed? You only mentioned to write a subject here.
You should have the keywords you are targeting in the title and url of your squidoo lense. These are most important, because this is how squidoo will link to your lens. Then you should have them scattered throughout your lens both in the content and headers of your module. The real key is to develop backlinks to your lens from other sites with your keyword(s) and keyword phrases as the anchor text.
This is exactly right, and is how I do it too. I create several lens and have them link to each other, not as a closed wheel but more of a linked list. I then submit to a few SB sites and have a couple of articles written and deployed to directories with links back to the lens. Works very well.
I'm not to familiar with making lenses, but them in the H1, H2, H3 tags. I try to put them in every paragraph (around 3-5%), adding bolding, italicizing and hyperlinking some. Try to use it often early in the article. I like to get it in the first sentence when possible, and either the first or last sentence (more so the last sentence) in the last paragraph. The keyword density would be different because if you have keywords in your tags it will add to the overall keyword density of the page. IMO
The keyword placement and density should be the same for Squidoo as a normal WP blog. 2-3% density. Make sure you use your keyword in the first sentence, in your H1 heading, sprinkled throughout the article, and in your last paragraph.
For optimization on a Squidoo lens I recommend the following: Keyword in the url Keyword in lens title Keyword in very first sentence of intro Keyword in the title of each module Keyword in the bio box on the side Keyword in the tags If you put the keyword in those spots, you don't really have to worry so much about where else you put it. I've been doing it for quite sometime and it works well. A twist on that is to optimize the main keyword as shown and the optimize a secondary keyword within the written content. Works well! 2x the traffic
