Hi I just want to share this with the new commers who are struggling with article marketing. When it comes to optimizing your Squidoo Lens (or any other article that you write), you should go about it in the same way as you would when building a landing page. You want to make sure you have/or do the following: 1) Relevant Headlines for each of several text/write modules 2) Lots of “Call to action†links that use your website or affiliate link 3) Lots of relevant images to help break up the text 4) AVOID use long paragraphs without breaks, links or images 5) Un-Max your lens so that your article content is the focus of your page 6) Add fresh content to your page by adding an RSS feed module Thanks
Here are some more: 7) Join groups that are related to your topic 8) Add a dozen or so tags that are related to your topic 9) Build links to your lens from other related sites Incidently, I disagree with number 5 - I think that the "Max" format looks much stronger, and focuses the eye more on to the content. Also, the RSS Feeds that you put on your lens will not be visible to search engines, and so won't make it appear 'fresh'.
i do all this, and my traffic is still "meh". in addition i also do social bookmarking and what not. I hope that my current article campaigns will yield some more traffic.
Just a few things. A detailed and honest review about the product along with proper format data. Add some clickable links to the product. This should help.
Also submit your lens to the lensroll to be found and also signup to the squidoo forums and add your new squidoo page in your signature and other forums aswell.
