    Hello everyone!

I would love to hear some of your suggestions and tips for developing a website with some integrated applications. I know a bit about webdesign but I'm not a programmer, therfore I want to hire a team on websites like odesk, freelancer or elance to help my develop my idea.

I never did something like this before, I'm not quite sure how to start, how to manage the task, time schedule and payments for my team.

All your suggestions are more than welcomed!

    Best regards,
    DAuthor

You start with developing the formal requirements, including scope , expected volumes, target demographics, and preferred technologies. A vague undefined idea can mean a project that cost a few hundred dollars or a million. You don't start by hiring people unless you need to hire a manager to actually develop the formal requirements. Even then you need more just wanting to develop a website. You are going to have to define a lot of detail before you are ready to proceed with any chance of success.
