So, I tweaked my ad copy and the CTR there has increased a lot.. but from my landing page to the actual offers the rate is still super super low.. any kind soul have any tips for increasing it? i'm using the standard choose your carrier page thanks in advace
You need to better match the landing page to the keyword they came in on. That will hold their interest and make them want to click through to the offer. My guess is you are sending everything to one general page or the dreaded "carrier select"
Although all offers differ in how you go about designing your landing pages, I try and fit the following into the vast majority of my pages: 1. Make sure the landing page is designed in the same color scheme as the offer page you're sending the customer to (if you can make your LP look virtually the same, more power to you!) 2. Have a nice big headline at the very top of the page that asks a question (ex. Do You Want to Save $77 a Month On Your Car Insurance?), tells the customer how much they'll be saving, and/or what the benefit is for the customer when they purchase the product. I typically do a font of arial, at a 20-25 font size for my headlines. I also usually try and make it into an image file, rather than text. I feel the headline is the most important part of your page. 3. Have a nice sub headline underneath the headline, that states some other important point (ex. Get FREE shipping and handling when you buy this product - Limited Time Only). 4. Underneath the headlines to the left side, I'll put a picture of the item I'm trying to promote... or a picture of a person using the product. Make sure it's nice and bright, and has something to do with the offer your promoting. 5. Underneath the headlines to the right side, I'll put about 4-5 bulleted benefits about the product. 6. Right below the bullet benefit points, I'll put an animated arrow button saying "Click Here Now", "Start Your Free Trial", or some other crap that entices the person to click through. 7. Numbers #1 through #6 should be above the fold of the page (the customer shouldn't have to scroll down to see any of the info) 8. At the bottom half of the site, Ill throw up an article with all types of text links scattered throughout the article. If I'm feeling happy, I'll through up a banner ad on one side of my article that allows the customer to click through to the offer. I've typically gotten about a 75-85% CTR consistent average on Landing Pages I design in this format. Make sure that all your images on your site are made into links, so that the customer may click through to your offer. Hope this helps!
You're welcome buddy... when you make BIG MONEY, please make sure you pay your sugar daddy webgenesis a little bonus
Sweet! Make sure you use some type of tracking on your offers (if you're not already) to make sure you know what keywords are profitable & which are not. Daniel
I've heard nothing but good things about Keebs. I believe for the most part, he designs his LP's in with the same points that I had above, in a different layout. The way I do my LP's is as a template, so that when I get a new offer, I can quickly get a site created in an hour... rather than designing a brand new site, which can take hours.
