I wouldn't bother getting random followers as they're not nearly as effective as advertising to targeted followers.
You can use the Twitter Advance Search. Find your target audience and then use the TweetAttacks to follow/unfollow them.
Be sure to add one or more trending topics at the end of your tweets, like #teamsheen. Your tweet will automatically showing those trending topics showing your tweets to a larger number of visitors who in turn can become potential followers. Your tweet should say something to make them want to follow you.
If u want followers for ur Twitter account the best way is to do it manually. You get the loyal followers you need. Although it depends what your Twitter account is for, for instance if u r promoting a blog, get the content and tweet it to Twitteratis that you think are the probable ones who will appreciate your blog. Even u can tweet the blog to the ones who are actively promoting their blog. Make a point to be active participant of others blog too else ur image will be that of a spammer.
