I seen that happen. Usually it only last for maybe 1 hour? Who knows, maybe longer. But that would be smart if it were a high paying description keyword reach.
i have seen a small degree of this on some of my sites as well.. younger typically means more net-savvy, and the more net-savvy you are, the less likely you are to click on ads... or even look at 'em, for that matter. tech-savvy people also don't click as much, from what i've seen.
When the link is blue it gives an instant impression of being a link, but when it is any other colour it does not do the same.
Great Advice, though I think the most important factor is placement. Clearly we should all be placing the adsense in front of our reader's eyes. Then I believe that color of the ad is the second most important.
I would say ads in the centre just under the banner image or similar, same colour as the links on your site.
as i far as i know any thing like using images with ads extra is not allowed in google adsense . isnt it ?
Would look a bit pammy/MFA in my opinion, though CTR would be high. no, re-read posts made in this thread!! Jamie
Theres always going to be some differences of opinion as to which are most important/useful but at least if you know the best ways to get a higher CTR you can find the ones that suit your site the best! GL all Notting
You can set channels in the adsense setup page. This can prove very useful, but when your site gets bigger or you develop more sites it can be annoying changing the channels again. Thanks for all the green feedbacks people! Notting
well its pretty lame heh want to have higher ctr? just put your ads infront of the visitors to click them and make them look like the real content.
Can't really argue with that MG...but its not that simple is it?! There are some serious trade offs to consider when making a move like that.
sctmook you should be able to get better than 2%. Set yourself a target of 5% and go for it. Today mine is @ 13.70% so it is possible to get very high CTRs. I've had it as high as 30% before on some days. Youre welcome eezgu! Notting
