You stay interested in it by selecting your project based on what you already enjoy or reading, and learning about. Whatever you do, start a blog or a web site and start adding content to it based on your project. This will get you used to writing to it and building it up. plus you can add adsense to it and make a little extra cash while you figure out what your going to do and this will allow your site to age.
Welland, I am not saying that it is all bad. Internet marketing is huge, and PPC stuff is just the tip of the iceberg. It all depends on how much of an open mind you keep. With the basic foundation, you can expand to web analytics, or brand campaign strategies. That's when you start making the big bucks.
What do you guys think? I am thinking quitting my current job to take a temporary full time job at an internet advertising business. Since I have no intention of staying in my current field, I am thinking I should go for it for the experience and then hopefully find a full time job. I am young and although I have bills ...I do not have to worry about rent.... The only thing is the economy stinks!
