Tips on Craigslist Posting!

I am looking for tips on how to make as close as I can get to a perfect craigslist ads.

Point of the ad: To get people to join my Forum.

From posting so far I have gathered:

    Short Ad = Flagged
[Longer Ad = Stilled Flagged but seem to stay a little bit longer.
    Short Ad = More Traffic
    Longer Ad = Less Traffic

Its hard to get your URL in without looking like spam. Any ideas on how to get more traffic and getting flagged less?

Don't include your url. When people email you asking questions about it, then send them your url.

Sounds like a lot of work. Maybe you don't get a major bunch of messages?

I'm also interested in using craigs list. I tried to post a link but guess I have to wait 7 days to do that.

Sure will be interested to hear from some craigs list guru's.

You should be able to post URLS in ads without waiting seven says. If you are posting URLS in the forum, then yes you have to wait 7 days.

I wouldnt personally try posting in the forum. If you try and post a URL that even smells like a hint of spam its gone.

Tomorrow I am going to set up ads with no URL and a gmail account with an autoresponder with links to my forum. I will let your guys know how it goes compared to the ads I am doing right now with URLS.

google and cl work together; therefore the autoresponder will not work. cl will filter all incoming emails that are responses and will drop the emails from gmail vacation responders.

I am putting together an ebook on all of this, but wondering if it would be of any interest.

It will pretty much answer ALL of your cl questions!

^ You don't use the Gmail vacation responders. You have all emails forwarded to one master Gmail, and then run that Gmail through Thunderbird with an response email. The only problem is Gmail only lets you send out 500 emails per day per server....

I have mastered the art of posting the same ad in 50 different cities in about an hours without getting ghosted. I just need to figure out how to get the most people to visit my forum.

Can you set thunderbird to autodownload the emails? Or do you have to click "Get Mail" every time to download the emails?

Edit: Found my answer.. Its looks every 10 minutes.

I would think when people see pictures they would think of Ads and at craigslist ads = spam.
