Do NOT Put Adsense on Your Blog! Seriously. Just because a handful of people made money from placing Adsense on their blogs years ago doesn't mean you can too. Times have changed and many people regard Adsense as something spammers use to scrape money from their splogs - and certainly you wouldn't want to be regarded as one of them despite the big difference in post quality. Perhaps not everyone experience the same thing but the damage Adsense ads made to my reputation is far greater than the reward...
I am going to have to disagree with you on that. I mean sure some people abuse this; however, 1 to 3 ad groups isn't going to damage your rep that much. I mean if you have quality posts(I am not saying I do) then why not profit from it? Besides, its not like people are going to click on the ads anyway. If you have spam blog, the first thing people are going to do is click the "back" button. So placing ads on it won't get you anything.
I have one adsense skyscraper on my blog because they're going to be relevant adds and it fits smoothly into the sidebar. Maybe I'm too new to even have a reputation to change, but I haven't noticed any difference.
That's a great common-sense list that people should be aware of anyway. If they don't then they shouldn't be using adsense
