Tips of Maintaining ranking

As you know it is very tough to get in top 10 for competitive words in Google (such as web design,Seo,hotels etc).

I would like to know how can we maintain our google top 10 position once we have attained it.

Shall we stop doing Seo or do little bit link building?

What exactly you do to maintain your site in google top 10.

Please guide.

 

You should continue doing seo and don't stop, if you stop your competitors may outrank you. SEO is a process that it needs to be done continuously.

 

You are right, SEO is not a short course, it's a long term course, so you don't have to stop it . if you stop it now then you'll loss your rank again and your competitors will get good rank also..

To maintain your website in Top search results make sure you add back links at regular interval and also update content for the pages to make sure they are not outranked by competitors.

 

Does SEO means always being passive to Google's every update? Once the algorithm changes, all the previous work would be a total waste, and then we should find the other way to please Google?

Regarding update content, if i update a post which has already been published with new content. Will it be termed updated content ? or i have to publish a new post in WP ?
