hi all, I like to hear some suggestion/tips how to send emails (no spam ofcourse) to subscribers of a newsletter through a MySQL5 database. Currently i use a VPS with MySQL 5 and PHP 5 installed which i want to use to send emails to all subscribers of the newsletter. I prefer using a free program which is fast and is able to send a newsletter to over 100.000 emails containing only plain text in a few hours. I already have the program Mailman installed, but i have no experience with that program and i have no idea how to get this program started through controlpanel cPanel. Can someone recommend me some tools which i could use or maybe help me out in the right direction how to get Mailman working properly? Also other advice/tips about sending to (large) mailinglist are very welcome! best regards Fraloom
Mailman is a good program once you know how to use it RTFM I can say: http://staff.imsa.edu/~ckolar/mailman/ Other possibilities are, if you have a CMS it might have a massmail addon or something like this. But make sure you know what you are doing before you send it. I can recommend you to send the mails in steps, like 500 mails per step. So that your server is getting not to busy..
