    Dear members,

    Today I am going to share some tips on how to search something on Google so that get the exact link or answer you desire. At first open Google and write the desired string there. For example we take "Sheels Hindi to English Dictionary". Google will display the result. Many people thinks that the search is over. But wait you have just started searching. Now see at the left pane. you will find there many options like

    * Everything
    * Images
    * Videos
    * News
    * Shopping
    * Books
    * Places
    * Blogs
    * Realtime
    * Discussions

    Now click on every option and navigate through them. You can also search your string on following criteria:
    o The web
    o Pages from India

    o Posts
    o Homepages

    o Any time
    o Past 10 minutes
    o Past hour
    o Past 24 hours
    o Past week
    o Past month
    o Past year
    o Custom range...
    From:
    To:

    o Sorted by relevance
    o Sorted by date

    I am sure this information will really help you in searching your questions.

    Informative! Thanks for your Google Tips! But better u can point out with site:"domain" explores inner pages, "search tag" filetype:"specific type of d file u need" explores relevant type of files.. also try to use "google.com/help/features" -- without double quotes! :)

    This is an information that many people do not now. The intitle and the inurl actually narrow down your searches and give you exactly what you are looking for.

    Nice post but I think everyone already knows this or there's few who don't. I just want to ask if anyone has ever used the "I'm Feeling Lucky" button? I only used it once but never tried again because the result is not what I expected. It's just that I think it's irrelevant to place that button there. Sorry if it's not related to the thread but I believe it is because we are talking about Google Search. :)

    My suggestion is to use Google Wonder Wheel! this tool will allow you to view matching common phrases or search terms to your specific search - the results will offer you larger scope and alternatives and eventually will lead to better results.

    Hi,

    I have used "I am feeling lucky" button. But it was just because google was not showing search results. There was captcha as soon as I clicked on this button. Then I was redirected to result page. I really feel the purpose of button is not this :confused:

    How about enclosing your search keyword with " " it narrows down the search considerably.

    You can check what are the rights for the image. Some of them you can use free, but for others there are copyrights

    Here are some easiest ways to search in Google .this may help you,
    Either/or:
    Google normally searches for pages that contain all the words you type in the search box, but if you want pages that have one term or another (or both), use the OR operator -- or use the "|" symbol (pipe symbol) to save you a keystroke.
    Quotes
    If you want to search for exact words, use quotes like “design”.
    Wildcard:
    This “*” symbol is a wildcard. This is useful if you are trying to find the lyrics to a song. For example: * twilight lyrics.

    Google wonder wheel is a feature which allows you to get relevant result for your search.
    Type your words in the Google search box, and then click on “show more options “in the result page. There you can find wonder wheel at left side of search page. Clicking on the Wonder wheel link will now create a sun shaped circle of terms, all related to your original search. Now You can navigate your way around the relevant key words and phrases and find more and more results. It’s easy and the graphical effects make it fun.
