Just read it. Not bad. A lot of things that you said are common sense. You forgot to mention about joining freelance websites to get some jobs and build a rep and a portfolio.
Yeah I agree there - freelance sites can help build up a portfolio. The problem with them though is that quite often you are up against some very good people so it can be difficult for beginners to get any work. They would practically have to give their services away.
