I'm having trouble getting my ranking in msn.com search up. I've got msn.co.uk sorted, I'm 1st and 2nd place for my primary keyword (which is exotic pets) I'm having trouble with msn though. I've got a nice ammount of backlinks (332 according to msn, but its more like 500 or so). I've got a good keyword density (I've just checked it for this thread and its at 11% which its probably a bit high, I might have to sort it out). Is there anything I can do to help or is it just a matter of waiting for my page to age a little bit?
MSN relies heavily on on-page factors. Review my SEO copywriting guide And the "in document" rankings factors on SEOmoz.org. That should put you on the right path.
Fresh links seems to work for me, but if you have a non .com .net name I think your going to have a hard time.
I don't entirely agree with that. I have ranked on MSN for phrases with 1 of the words not appearing on my page at all. This could be attributed to themed content but I think IBL played more of a factor in that. It also appears that MSN weighs fresh IBL higher than older IBL.
