Maybe you should learn some knowledge on SEO.As to making money,I think it's more difficult than opimization.

What sort of traffic does your website attract?
Are they using keywords that suggest commercial intent?
Can you sell your own product to them?
Are there affiliate offers you can promote?
Can you afford to pay for traffic and make a profit from that traffic?

I suggest that you consider these questions before spending a lot of time on SEO or marketing. If you can't convert visitors in some way, no amount of SEO or marketing will monetise your website.

 

First you should target the keyword that is well-performing for your business.Do not choose the keyword that has high volume and competition but choose the keyword that is going to gain more traffic and do well for your business.If you optimize your site properly with those targeted keywords you can get a lots of traffic to your site.

You should put your keyword in the name of the domian name. Prefered at the beginning. Also in the tititle and h1 tags. Some anchor text using the keyword is also great.

 

Optimization and SEO are really a must. You cannot have a website not optimized because you will loose clients, and you need to do SEO because without it you won't have clients.

I mean clients equal traffic or something similar.

Real Example: We just optimize our website. The real weight on a regular page was around 1300KB and they were taking so long to show for people in 56KB modem. Yes there is a lot of people using dial-up connections. So after we optimize website, all of our pages weree around 250kb and 350kb. They load a lot faster now and we will continue improving the optimization. Just check how successful is Craiglist on its optimization or Plentyoffish.

So I really improving optimization is a must.

and SEO, we you want to get a good ranking for high traffic keywords, you need to do SEO, On-page and Off-page.
