Tips for Monetizing Music Forum?

    Hi. I run a pretty popular Music Forum- around 30k uniques per month. I have done ok with Link ads. But it's not enough.

    Try as I may, I cannot seem to generate any money from Affiliate Ads. Adsense is only up to $45 after 6 months.

    The Forum is lively and growing.

    How would you monetize?

    I would use amazon affiliate program and promote some music Cd's on the forum.

    Like BWDOW said, amazon would be good, not just for music cd's, but band dvd's, band t-shirts, band posters, etc. You could even sell instruments, which I imagine have a high payout rate for you!

    Put different genres of merchandise to match the genres on your forum.

    but i think with 30k uniques per month with adsense you got more than 45$ !

    anyway maybe you choose another network " search here"

    I'd bet it's an ad placement problem. You should be making $4-$10 a day with adsense.

    Itunes also do an affiliate programme!

    You could perhaps edit member posts to create links to buy the songs when they are mentioned.
