I recently acquired website-marketplace.com, while its a great site, people list there sites on the place regularly.. There is a missing part of the equation, not getting anyone to bid on things. I started a google adword campaign a couple hours ago, but can anyone give any other tips on how I might be able to get a site like this going?
Try establishing an affiliate program and develop a widget showing the last 10 websites or so put up for sale (as an affiliate resource). Alternatively, you could give out freebies (think reports or e-books) to every buyer that completes a transaction. Hope this helps. Regards, George P.S. Just a shameless self plug. If you want a more detailed marketing plan, I can help you with that. It will cost though.
Work on getting backlinks to your site. This is a slow process, but it is needed to get continued quality traffic to your site. The backlinks have to be to relevant sites related to your own.
This is a tough process no doubt. But to continually get good quality traffic that will be bidders in the future is to gain backlinks. There are other ways to gain bidders after getting the right traffic flow to your website. You could try anything like incentives when members bid or win a bid. Just think out side of the box and be creative. The more unique your website is, you will eventually gain traffic because of that.
Thats another thing.. This one particular site is high traffic, the biggest problem is turning the traffic into actual participators on the site. Which is partially odd, because there is no fee's initially on sign up or anything, and buyers never have any fee's.
Yeah that is very strange, like I said, maybe try giving an incentive for signing up or making your first bid. See if you can grab some sign up's then.
Marketing website first of all your site is particular which kind of first tell then choose which type of flexibility to access with great priority to choose Internet marketing facility choose
Device a way where people can receive updates and latest news about your site. RSS will do that and those who subscribed to your feed will automatically receive the latest updates every time you post something new.
We'd agree with the above user who mentioned backlinks. These links (which link to your website from a third-party URL) create an air of authority in the eye's of search engines. Post articles and tips, or just generally engage on forums and blogs, as well as social media sites.
You're in a tough niche to start out. In order for this venture to get off the ground the way you want it's going to take time and money. You need to attract both buyers and creatives to work on projects and to do this correctly you're going to need a marketing budget of some kind. Like I said you're in a tough niche; you're going up against already established sites like Elance.com Freelancer.com and others.
If You want quality traffic on your sites do link building , Article submission and other social activity for your sites .
Google Adwords is the best, stick with it. I try it regularly once in a month and it does give me a loyal frequent visitors. Just keep using Adwords consistently and you should pick up soon, since it is search targeted.
The most effective way of marketing your website is use social media as a platform of information, link news updates, blog posts to social media content on facebook, youtube and twitter. Sync these together so that your message is displayed on the multiple platforms.
You need targeted traffic... one incentive you could provide for people listing their deals is to offer a premium service which would cover the cost of you advertising that stuff on Facebook and maybe even Twitter... but if money is tight, at least for now start with building backlinks and get your start to show up in the SE's for some targeted keywords... don't give up too early, although this is a tough niche to get buyers to get to come to your site, once you do, it could be very valuable to you.
K.. All this talk about marketing, traffic, SEO, social media, etc.. Does anyone offer services to handle a full marketing campaign involving all of this? I'm afraid I'm not really the best marketer and I think I need help in this arena
