List building, base building, subscriber listings, whatever you may want to call it, is one of our formost tasks if really want to succeed in this buisness. There are many ways by which you can do this and I will discuss three of them here: 1) Resale Permission A terrific way to market your business is to make a special report on it and spread the word around. But it’s really not that easy. You need a simple tactic to effectively do it and one of them is through resale permission. Resale permission simply means giving a person or a company the permission to sell or distribute your report and collect any profits for themselves entirely. It’s a win-win situation but you have to understand how to do it the right way. Your main objective is to invite more traffic or people to your site. Thus, the more people that will resell your product would be better. However, you need to outline resale terms. Make it simple so that it can be easily understood and easy to get especially if you’re still building your business and email list. The easier it is, the more likely they are to take on your report and start selling it right away. When trying to expand an email list, be sure that the main text of the special report stays unchanged. When you write special report, it should be with proper wording and links so that your opt-ins would grow. It should have a value added. This means thinking of better ways to present your product than the last time you made it. The content should be fresh and new to attract not only new viewers but also the former ones. 2) Ad Swap Your clients are important and you need to increase your client base or simply subscribers. So, get more email addresses by using Ad Swaps. Ad Swap simply means that you swap your firm’s ad with another firm’s ad. Meaning, you will be displaying their ad instead of your own. Because of this, your ad should be short and attractive, and concise and informative to get the interest of the viewers. Reminder: Use the “Ad Headliner†correctly and effectively. It should not be long so as not to bore the viewers but creative and informative enough to catch their eyes. It should be focused mainly to the viewer that you want to capture. However, when you’re looking to swap ads with another person you should know how well their contents relate to yours. Also, one of your objectives is to gain base so there’s a need for you to know how many users the other site has. Joining an Ad Swap could really help getting more subscribers to your E-zine or other subscription email service, so work on it. 3) Give Away Events Hosting Give Aways or contests is a nice incentive to get people to join you. However, before doing that, you need to have a sample newsletter ready to present to them. You need to show the passion, patience, and the persistence to show that it will work. You can follow this simple outline to find a partner: propose your strategy for building an e-zine newsletter to potential partners, show a sample newsletter, and use your skills of persuasion. Don’t be discouraged if at first you don’t succeed. Reminder: Wait until your received the products before advertising it. Then signed a formal contract, which is a common practice in business. To ensure the list grows, you can require that membership be at least one month old before they could apply for the free gift or have a monthly drawing for the giveaways. This will keep e-zine readers to enter each month for the contest and give incentives to subscribers thus making them more active. Be aggressive. Don’t hesitate to advertise on every single page of your site. Lastly, maintenance of your list is quite important.
