Looking for some help here to get a friends site listed. googlebots visit his site occasionally, but very seldom. link:blahblahblah.com shows up 0 results. The domain was not previously owned, so it shouldnt be banned for any previous problems. Basically, I am looking for some tips to help get this site listed in google. They are registered in the coop here, but not benefitting because the coop gauges everything on PageRank. any suggestions? the site is forums based, and here is the link if it helps any. www.performancepark.com
ok, lets assume the usual site submissions have been done. This site has been submitted to google, its been submitted to DMOZ, it is showing up fine at yahoo and MSN. Just cant seem to break into google.
Put it in your signature here, reduce the number of words in the meta keywords, not sure if the redirect causes you a problem. Sites i include in my sig usually appear within 48 hrs or so..
You could take up my text link ads offer http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=10147 That would definately get alot of your forum pages indexed.
Once you reach 10 posts in here you can put the site in your signature, it can well be listed much quicker than that, but it doesnt really matter..it will take you a while to see any rankings anyway. also add your link here: http://www.google.com/addurl.html Any site that is spidered well by google and has links to your site should put you in the index within a few days
I usually see 3 days or less. I have been doing an experiment with two similarly listed sites listed with several top SE' and hope to be posting the average listing time for each.
I have quite a few links showing in MSN and Yahoo, and 0 in google. Google doesn't show them all, and the process takes a bit longer. If it's a brand new site and domain, it may be sandboxed for a bit. Google takes a bit more patience then the other engines.
Why someone should have less number of words in the meta keywords.. could anyone explain please... it would help surely. thanks.
Notreally that important, but there is alotof keywords on that page, might as well remove many of them, moving the content up and making the filesizes slightly smaller
Some SE's, those that actually care about Meta tags have a limit on the number they will accept. I really doubt this has anything to do with a site not showing up in Google though.
yeah, Google has almost no weighting for meta keywords, but any engine that does is not going to like that many of them.
Not enough information to go by. How old is the site, how many pages, etc etc. It happens al ot - and right now they're doing an update (have been for awhile) so things are a bit whacky
