You need to be based in the United States to join YPN - if you're not that completely rules out the accepting you (at least for now).

YPN sucks, mate. Their contextual ads seem like non-contextual to me. After running it for a while, things are getting worse until my CTR hit 0% flat for one full week. This is absolutely insane. I think they deliberately cheat on me by not reporting the missing clicks to earn 100% revenue. I believe 0% CTR cannot happen. Even I put a completely unrelated image banner, the CTR is about 0.4%. 0% CTR with thousands of US impressions every day? Come on.

This leads me to switching to BidVertiser which is earning me good. You don't need to wait for YPN these days, since it has gone down the drain. Try other networks.

As of now.. YPN stays close for non US residents...!! But also heard that they need to work a lot to reach Adsense standards..!!

Anyone can join bidvertiser, but their ads are way off the mark many times and they get a very low click through.

well, i apply three time but no reply, at the fourth time, i receive an email say that "Thank you for your interest in the Yahoo! Publisher Network beta program. This is to confirm that your information will be stored in our database and be considered for the beta program. " does this mean they will review my site and might approve me. did you get this kind of message or they send you an reject email.

Adsense has formal appeal form. They won't read your email unless it's conformed to the form format. What about YPN? As far as I know. There's no appeal available. I heard once you're banned from YPN, you cannot appeal.

netpants, you should add more types of ads to run your website instead of looking for substitute of Adsense. Add like: inline links, RSS feed ads, redirect ads, static footer ad, etc. AdBrite has the inline links and redirect ads. BidVertiser has RSS feed ads now. You can implement your own static footer/header ad by some javascript.

I got my YPN account long time ago. They were paying pretty well.. I remember the day I got $25 from one click...

If they see a value on your site, they approve it....
