Tip: How to get a little extra quick, targeted traffic

Here is a tip I think is a nice idea for getting some quick, targeted traffic. It's great if you have some new content you want people too see, or you want people to see an auction you have going or something like that. Not sure if this is a very common idea but it might be.

Basically, head to a forum that is related to your topic/niche. It's best if you know the topic very well.

> Make an account, and put a link to your website in the signature (this may not be allowed until a certain amount of posts have been made.

> Start posting and giving value. That is the most important thing, to give value.

If you go out into the world seeking to GIVE as much value as you can, instead of seeking to TAKE as much as you can, you will actually end up with more. Basically, answer people's questions and help them with their problems. Not only is it helpful to them but you will learn more about your niche too as you help people face their different problems.

Make good, original articles on the topic of your niche. Maybe it's advice, or reviews, or tips, whatever relates to your topic.

Whatever you do: Avoid just spamming the place up with little value or relevance. If your post is not going to contribute, then don't make the post.

What happens here is that when people read a quality post or they get some quality help from you, they will naturally be more likely to be interested in what your signature is linking too.

If they see some everyday spammer who has alot of 1 word replies to threads, they are far less likely to be interested in that person's link compared to the helpful person who actually taught them/helped them/shared good knowledge with them.

I'm trying this idea at the moment, I'll let you'se know how it goes!

good idea and the most basic one.. i dnt knw why people dnt follow this.. instead concentrate on crating no. of posts and forget to maintain quality..

Post quality should be number one, otherwise if you're just spamming the forum and create bad reputation for yourself, no one will be interested in you or your links.

This is just working in forums.
You can also get backlinks working in forums as well as direct clicks.

Make sure the forum allows dofollow signature though so that you will hit two birds with one stone: getting back links from niche related website and driving traffic that are mostly interested with what your website sells or shows.

In some niches, you just can't find forums that allow signatures. At least I haven't.

 

I have to say it took me a while to understand the logic and how-to with article marketing because all the advice made it seem like there were a lot of details involved...so many things you had to keep in mind in order to get that attention or approval from the article base sites. I was so scared to write my first article because I wasn't sure on the number of keywords in particular to put in there without it sounding spammy. I think my other mistake was the fact that I didn't have any relevant backlinks or sites linked to my articles. I was working on one with Wordpress for the longest and that just turned into a big mess. I CAN say the success I did have was with my very first article. i found a good keyword, very low competition, and posted it on a well known article site. By the next morning, my article was organically listed on the first page of google with 3 other sites having picked it up as reference and I got credit for.

Then add signature links to similar niches. Unless it is a really small niche your in, there has to be some forums available.

 

Great share and I can tell you that it does work for sure You can even ramp it up by starting your own HOT threads and getting people to participate, more traffic brings more traffic.
