like i did with http://piercings-tattoos.blogspot.com/ The nice thing is, that, as the astore, blogspot is FREE. Its not only free, you also get a (quasi) domain-name so your astore has an URL...and google/blogger allows adsense ads ! You can hook up existing astores to blogs easily. Then you can add articles, RSS feeds, adsense and also do VERY LITTE SEO modding (eg. add meta tags etc.). So...it's like a boost for your astore You can also add google analytics tracking code. For all the people who want to do things very quick and free, but a notch better than astore alone.
ADDENDUM: There is one thing to note: Since the astores are in an iframe they are not seen by the search engines in conjunction with your blogger-site. Its like an external link. So....you NEED content on your site related to the subject, eg. articles for better SE rank, and also so adsense knows what your site is about.
The one that is hooked up to a blog is selling poker related products chips, games, books, dvd etc. It is country targeted and ranks ok on google at the moment.
I was amazed about the capablities you showed that are allowed on blogger - Could you talk a little bit about the time and effort involved in creating an a-store? It would probably be a great addition to my site? Is the process easy? What do you think?
I too am excited to see the scope of doing so much with the blogger blog, and will be obliged to know more on this topic from the veterans
whow guys..i am amazed this thread is on top here...now i know where the hits on my piercings site come from I personally also very much like the layout of my store there, the colors and everything. (Just my personal taste..lol) There really is not much to add since blogger is extremely straighforward and a blind one can make an astore (as amazon affiliate) in 2 mins, literally. Add your adsense code and everything....hook the astore up (from the code you get on amazon)...and paste all that into the template/elements on blogger. Its really INCREDIBLE easy. gohard: as said..."time creating an astore" is 2mins...it can be as simple as just filtering keywords....or maybe 5mins++ if you add more categories. Another 10mins and you have that thing on blogger.com Now you add some articles and RSS feeds too, BINGO. edit: the best is...if not already signed up on amazon affiliates..do that...and just play around with the astore. Copy/Paste the code at the end into the HTML-Element in your blogger account....adjust your colors etc. I ALWAYS use that one template (i think its called "SIMPLE") on blogger since the others are too small for the size of the astore.
