Tiny tiny images... How come photoshop makes them so large in kb?

So, I have super small images that I saved as GIF using photoshop. The problem is that photoshop makes the images so large! 70 kb! How could I make them smaller? There aren't any details really on the image, it's just a stripe for background repeating.... I'm lost.

are you sure its not 70 bytes? that seems very high. If you go with the default gif settings in photoshop it shouldnt be very large at all

Are you saving with just the colors needed or full 256 colors?

Here is one of the images

It's weird... It was 50kb on my pc, imageshack made it 1 kb!

I will probably upload them all there and download again. Very unprofessional...

The file was saved with default settings. Png was even bigger.

In Photoshop, when you save a GIF, the next screen is Indexed Colors options.

Do One thing.. While you will select the option of SAVE AS WEB to save the image.. I am sure you must be choosing the Gif extension in option...

Once you will select the Gif option than you will find the 256 written at the right just click on that and select 32 or 64, or 128 or 100 or what ever will works for you. Make sure that you have selected the optimized window, so you can check the quality of your corner also. You can see the K weight at the bottom that will be decreasing when the no. will be decreasing simultaneously.

    Thanks
