Hello, my site is only three months old, I have little if any money to invest within it and i'm reaching out to the world of experience, in posing a question. There are those who can bombard SEO companies with thousands of dollars and there are those who can't do this. What they can do, is create content, content and conten, backlinks, backlinks and backlinks. Now if google has a choice, does it always go for the money, or can time be helpful too. Is age really important for a website in the eyes of google, and because i can't cheat with money, how long does it take to become slightly respectful in the eyes of our lord google. 12 months, 2 years, more. Appreciate any inputs, thanks
Time (Domain age ) is just one factor out of more than 200 which Google consider to rank a site. Google has some algorithm to rank a website and these seo companies play with it. If you know it you can too do it your self with little effort and save your $$ from seo companies.
Domain age is never a factor and it has been proven by controlled tests again and again. Why some tests still show domain age matters is simply because you get more natural links when you have been in business for 10 years. If you don't have money, spend time and be clever if you still want to beat your competitors.
Google supposed to got after natural popularity of the site (and backling supposed to be the indicator of that popularity). All the SEO backlinking is artificial way to boost that indicator, some cat afford to pat for it, some not.
Important is the age of the backlinks and not the age of the domain. Just look for more links and you will be finde.
Right about domain age, it's not a factor. However, when you build backlinks, you should build them slowly over a month or so, instead of blasting them all over kingdom come right away. I am not saying not to blast articles, etc.... Just don't do it the first day. I usually let an Ezine article percolate for a couple weeks (with its RSS feed submitted to a few places), and get a couple of forum backlinks. Once things stabilize, then I do the link blast.
