    Heh.
I knew it wouldn't be long before people started asking. Check the signature. Obviously it's an aff link, it's the least you could do for me sharing, right? :)

I actually only get 60GB of space, not 1500GB, not sure what happened there, at any rate, 60GB is more than enough, especially if you are running PHProxy.

@dkin69 - Right now I'm running 6, however I will double that by the start of the season, so to speak.

If I were to put proxies up again, it seems to me that I would start by putting up at least 50 of them.

As these sites are almost all identical in the first place, I don't understand people who only put up one or a few proxies.

Ahh yeah 6 wouldn't take much, I'm running a few more than that, plus a bunch of proxy toplists
Totally agree, you can use one another to promote each another.
You better have something above a normal VPS for 50 of them though :D

I don't play well with others, so I own all of my own servers.

I highly doubt you'll make anything. Mostly, it's only established proxies survive through summers.

Off-topic: How in hell do you add ads to proxified pages? I know it has to go on line 1147 of index.php, but what do you accompany the ad with? Like, the tags around it?

what kind of ads are you trying to add?? If it is javascript just create the ad code in a variable and input the variable on the url form, assuming your using phproxy that is.

How many proxy's do you think could be run on a VPS with those stats, run safely anyhow.

    Phproxy and capping the bandwidth??

    Thanks

Don't get down when you have a low month or two. I know about 70% of people starting proxies quit because of a bad start, and it's beneficial to my network, and I shouldn't be saying this, since its a promotion of competition, but hey, I'll say it anyway, don't give up.

Yes if i usually start up a site i sell it within a few days for abit of profit, but i have a feeling with proxies that they are just worth sticking around for so thats what i am ging to do, and hey even if i loose abit of money i have my whole life ahead of me, and it will be a good lesson.
