Time to move to Alertpay. Paypal is really a pain now

First it was reversals of payments and withdrawls which put all Indians using paypal into severe trauma and pain over the last one month.

Then it was purpose codes for withdrawls and many got account limited and still some have not resolved it.

Added to it lower conversion rates.

To top it all now add PAN number, which in a way is good but what RBI will do is get our hard earned money as taxes and give it to the politicians, so now Indian politics and bereaucracy will improve one step ahead. They will get a much more better life.

Finally now, you cannot receive a free payment at all.If you have to receive a $10 payment then you would pay $0.64 for the transaction.

So paypal India has become like Paypal US, only difference is that the money which goes to the Indian treasury becomes unknown / unaccounted.

Big thanks to RBI and paypal.

Well this all depends how you see things, nothing comes free in this world. Analyze how much payment you gonna receive and from what sources and then decide what payment processor you gonna use.

    Thanks

It's true that nothing comes for free, but since paypal knows that it is has the monopoly of the industry for receiving payments, it has been doing havoc not just in India but even in the US and UK. Also, people in the US and UK are not happy about the way Paypal works. Moreover, they too know that Paypal is the sole provider.

Now why doesn't Alertpay get licenses for Bank Transfer - Because there are very few users from India who do daily transactions on AlertPay.

Even Paypal only had Cheque withdrawls till 2007, but in Nov 2007, they introduced Bank Withdrawl seeing the number of users from India using Paypal on a daily basis. So give Alertpay too a chance and you'll see better days on Paypal, because right now only Alertpay is the sole competitor of Paypal.

Remember guys, Alertpay is still free to send and receive payment whereas PP is charging 3.4% + $0.3 for each transaction if less than $3000. So only the person who receives payment gets charged. Paypal is taking Indian users for a long ride by charging fees. Also RBI is taking Indians for a ride with taxes and the Indian financial industry is taking Indians for a ride with whopping and ever increasing prices of goods. So ultimately who is living off from all our earnings (everyone knows who, right?), it's the people who can not do a single thing for our country, but can talk pages about sacrifice and patriotism. We are showing patriotism by getting income and foreign exchange.

So better show us some respect and get the load of this thing off our minds and help us in working harder to make our country the main superpower.

    Hello DP members,

We definitely need a different payment processor. I mean, Paypal is bringing nighmares every now and then from the past 1.5 months now and we as members having such high profile clients cannot even make them request to solve all these troubles once and for all.

First reversals, which haven't been returned to our accounts and will never be.
Then withdrawl issues, then purpose codes, then Credit card option removed, then PAN issues now again withdrawl issues

This is too much traumatizing and painful. One cannot even concentrate on work. We need to keep checking our paypal accounts, bank accounts,
DP forum et al every now and then and the worst part is - nobody knows what is happening.

Guys, time to give Paypal, the thumbs down, lets chance upon Alertpay and see if it works well, but only problem is their verification takes time and also they don't have bank withdrawl.

If thousand of DP members and many more friends and relatives of yours pressurize Alertpay then AP will definitely introduce Bank Withdrawl within 1-2 months, then we can write off PP and show them the door.

    @ cool_PTC

its not that easy for Alertpay to bring the withdrawal feature so fast , coz paypal is so popular , RBI made changes to it , if alertpay becomes popular the same thing will happen with it too, so the main culprit is RBI n not paypal
